what would you do?

if you accidentally discovered that your brother was positive, what would you do? would you go on and pretend that you don't know anything about it? or would you approach them and hint that you know.

take it a bit further and say that you discover that he now has a new girlfriend. would you ask him whether the new grilfriend knows about his status? would you tell your parents; or prehaps, would you confide in your pastor and ask him for advice. what is the right attitude to have as a christian in these trying circumstances?

  1. living with a positive person is very trying and not that easy as people say it is. i think families dealing with the disease must be taken for counselling.

if he was to date a girl definately i would ask him if he had DISCLOSED HIS STAtus. its that simple. there is no struggle about that one!!!

  2. This whole business of being positive is so sensitive, even if i knew that my brother was positive, i would pretend as if i didn't know, until he opened up to me.

  3. Aids is still a sensitive issue. However if he really is your brother, you will have no qualms about telling him that he should inform his girlfriend about his status.Furthermore, hinting that you know about his status does not do you and certainly not him any good,so take the bull by the horns and be like Daily News...tell it as it is.

  4. You will not have a clear conscience if you just pretend as if you don'y know anything when you know. the best would just be to offer advise and encourage him to go for testing. there is no way to tell someone is positive unless and until they go for testing.
